Helping museums in the East Midlands to serve the public better

About us

EMMS’ Executive Board of 15 directors/trustees is elected by the membership to represent and serve the regional museum community. As museum practitioners (paid and volunteer), trustees and Local Authority elected members, EMMS’ Board members bring a wealth of skills, experience and networks to support museums in the East Midlands.

EMMS is based at Nottingham Trent University, alongside the Centre for Museum Heritage and Management, and led by Stephen LeMottee, Executive Director.
