Helping museums in the East Midlands to serve the public better

Digital Ambassadors Network

You don’t have to be a digital expert to join in this network!  Everyone is welcome whether you are an avid tweeter, a facebook fiend, or a complete novice for whom the phrase ‘social media’ is terrifying!  The Digital Ambassadors Network has been set up as part of the Renaissance East Midlands Digital Programme for 2011-12.  The aim of the network is to ensure that East Midlands Museums have the skills needed to embed use of digital media within their business plans and work.  We will be joining forces with the REM Workforce Development team to provide training and support for digital projects across the region.  It is hoped that the group will grow organically, responding to the needs of museums across the region, and you will have a real chance to shape the development of this network.  Anyone who is involved with a museum or other heritage organisation is welcome to attend these meetings and be included on the Digital Ambassadors’ mailing list.
