Arts & Business seek Cultural Champions nominations
Celebrating people who generously give their time, expertise, and money to help our cultural organisations flourish
The arts in this country could not survive without the passionate support of thousands of people who generously give their time, expertise, and money to help our cultural organisations flourish.
For this reason we created our Cultural Champions initiative to publicly acknowledge the tremendous value these individuals bring to the arts, and to encourage others to get involved.
We hold a number of prestigious events each year, with a Government Minister or VIP as guest of honour, to celebrate these Cultural Champions. The events provide an opportunity to thank those who are making the most difference to the arts, and highlight their stories to inspire others. 2011 has been a particularly important year because of our role as an official partner of the Office for Civil Society as part of the European Year of Volunteering 2011.
Nominate Champions in the Midlands
On Thursday 29 March 2012 we will be celebrating the Cultural Champions at a special invitation-only reception in Birmingham. If you would like to nominate someone, then please do so by 3 March 2012.
We invite you to consider who you would like to nominate and bring to the event as your organisation’s cultural champion. The below also gives advice as to what a Cultural Champion is and the types of support we are celebrating.
